Around the World
I have had the great privilege to travel to 15 different countries across six continents, and in 2022 and 2023 I took time off of work to explore the world around me.

Peru
What a place to begin my adventures! It was incredibly special to visit the Sacred Valley, to drink Pisco Sours and eat Peruvian delicacies such as ceviche, grilled Llama, and Cuy (guinea pig stuffed with herbs and roasted in an open fire). I had the greatest honor to see the site of Macchu Picchu with my own eyes, and climb Mount Macchu Picchu with my own legs (my legs still have not forgiven me).

UK & EU
There is so much history to be learned from the EU countries no matter how many times I visit. I am a fan of the art, the languages, food and walkable cities. I really enjoy putting the of French I remember to use in the Paris tube!

On this particular trip I visited the UK, France, Switzerland, Italy, and Greece. I have previously been an exchange student for 3 weeks in Southern France and visited Barcelona during that time. Italy is definitely a favorite of mine and I have been multiple times to the cities of Rome, Florence and Venice.

United Arab Emirates
Visiting Dubai was a unique experience, as this fast-paced, rapidly growing city is set in the middle of the desert. My absolute favorite experience in the UAE was visiting a traditional spice souk, where spices (specifically saffron), teas and other treats like dates covered in camel milk chocolate are sold. I really appreciated the time and effort each vendor put in to make sure their stall was beautiful for customers to look at.

Kenya
This was my first trip to Kenya and I am determined that it will not be the last! Kenya was my favorite country we visited on our tour, the country is rich in culture, great food, amazing people and wildlife. I arrived in Nairobi and then made my way out to the bush in Amboseli National Park by Mt. Kilimanjaro, Lake Naivasha and the Masai Mara National Reserve by way of a safari vehicle. I had the greatest pleasure of meeting many Masai people along the way, and learned so much from the friends I made out in the bush and in Nairobi.

Thailand
Bangkok is my favorite city I have ever been too, I loved the vibrancy and energy on the streets! Yes, I ate Pad Thai and drank Thai milk tea for almost every single meal and I have no regrets about it. Our tour guide, Uncle Kong, was incredibly welcoming and brought so much fun and life to his teachings as we explored both the mainland and the islands of Phuket and Ko Samui.

Australia
We finished this epic journey in Sydney, Australia, and what a place to say goodbye! I was lucky enough to see a Humpback whale breach out of the water during their migration, eat Sydney Rock oysters, see some kangaroos and koalas (and spiders & snakes too), and surf Bondi Beach.
